Wasted Potency is a one-person DIY music project started in New Orleans in 2017, now based in Texas. the project crosses hyperpop, post-hardcore, emo rap, glitchcore, drum and bass, and UK garage without committing to any of them.
i have played everywhere from stages to floors, bars, laundromats, arcades, and museums, sharing bills with everyone from rappers to ska bands. past acts include brokencyde, joystick, austin rapbaum, ayo dylan, and nuddie piper.
in 2025 i ran and headlined Toys for Noise in conjunction with New Orleans promoter Local Riffs — a benefit show that donated almost $5,000 in toys to the New Orleans Children's Hospital.
collaborators include capoxxo, lil soda boi, lil narnia, blossoms fall, ben shooter, and valex venture.

the cultural moment right now is built on remembering things correctly. curated throwbacks, algorithmically surfaced feelings, grief repackaged as aesthetic. anti-nostalgia is a direct response to that. not because the past was bad but because treating it like a product is.
